Jason Miller Log - Day 10

Set between the Atlantic Ocean, forests and mountains, Rio de Janeiro is a city that permits anyone to conjugate, have fun and work out like no other location. Cummins and Miller could feel that. Whether running on the beach, climbing Pedra da Gávea or Hang Gliding. “It was such an amazing experience. We had great training, but definitely walking to the top of Pedra da Gávea and the double hang gliding from Pedra Bonita were among the highlights of my life”, recognized Miller.

After we had lunch in Bibi Sucos and headed to Ipanema I just could find a place to park my car in Farme de Amoedo

street. Considered the hottest spot for gays in Brazil (it´s right in front of that street that all gays goes to the beach in Rio).

When we were waiting the green light to cross the sign between that street and the beach I made a joke with Miller and

Cummins telling them that they shouldn’t take the shirt off in that area, other wise they could be “attacked”.  Than all of the

sudden, the crazy Miller asked me: “what about my pants?”, putting his Bermuda down and crossing the street very

seriously only with his underwear … While me and Ryan were just laughing  the people around (cars and other people

crossing the signal) just couldn’t believe what the crazy Miller was doing

After training at RFT, we picked Jason up at the hotel and went to eat at a barbecue house called Tourao. When Ryan and Pat started to tell Jason what he missed, “Mayhem” got really upset.

“Man, you know, right after you left, I started to feel better, and I resented myself so much for not having gone with you guys,” pined Miller.

After lunch, we all went together to Cummins’ room at the Sheraton Hotel to record our last video report. Cummins, Miller and Parsons analyzed the highlights of their trip with a view of Barra Beach behind them.

The trio each profusely thanked the Sherdog MMA Fighter Exchange Program for the amazing opportunity, and said that it was the best trip of their lives.

“I wish they could postpone our tickets one week. I want to come back Rio soon,” said “Mayhem.” He finished the video singing “The Girl from Ipanema” with modified lyrics where he summarized the trip for his fans.

There couldn’t have been a more fitting farewell to this amazing experience.
